Community Training

Does your Organization or School District want to offer training to parents?

In 2000, through a collaborative effort between educators and families who shared a common vision that all children have value and must have successful educational opportunities to pursue their dreams, the Connections: Creating a Positive School Culture by Uniting Families and Schools training curriculum was created. This curriculum is the basis of all trainings that Family to Family Network provides and many of the supporting documents can be found on the Texas Project FIRST website.

If your operational budget is less than $100,000 and are located within 30 miles of our office – we will be glad to partner with your organization and provide FREE training with a guarantee of at least 6-10 participants. Note: A $25 fee will be assessed if we arrive and there are fewer than 5 participants.

For organizations with budgets greater than $100,000 – we would love to partner with you, but may require you to contract with us to cover our personnel time and travel. We will be glad to offer sliding scale rates and negotiate a fee within your budget.

Please contact our Business Office to gain a fee schedule – 713-466-6304.

Training can be delivered to your organization through a variety of methods:

  1. A two day Trainer of Trainer event, preferably with educators and family members, that gives people committed to educating families of children with disabilities information on how to teach families to work with schools to achieve success for their children.
  2. One – Two Hour presentations on various topics
