Attwood - This is the web site of Dr. Tony Attwood, a psychologist who specializes in the diagnosis and support of children with Asperger’s Syndrome. The site includes internet and printed resources, research reports, and conference information.
Autism-How-To - This web site, Autism-How-To, was developed by psychologists Dr. Beverly Braman and Dr. Susan Catlett, both of whom specialize in working with children with autism. The purpose of the web site is to “provide a series of step-by-step guides for teaching important skills and behaviors to individuals with autism and related disorders.”
Autism Information Center - This is the “Autism Information Center” of the Centers for Disease Control and the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. It includes resources, specific topics and federal and state activities pertaining to autism.
Autism National Committee (Autcom) - This is the web site of the Autism National Committee (Autcom). Autcom was founded to “protect and advance the human rights and civil rights of all persons with autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and related differences of communication and behavior”.
Autism Network International (ANI) - This is the home page of the Autism Network International (ANI), a self-help and advocacy organization run by and for people with autism. Their site shares personal views of living with autism, conference information, a listserv, related web links and more.
Autism Resources - This site is entitled “Autism Resources” and provides related web links, book information, messages and advice from other parents, and frequently asked questions and answers.
Autism Society of America - This is the web site of the Autism Society of America, whose mission is to “promote lifelong access and opportunities for persons within the autism spectrum and their families, to be fully included, participating members of their communities.” Also available in Spanish.
The Center for the Study of Autism - This page was created by The Center for the Study of Autism and contains a listing of autism and autism-related resources on the Internet. Categories include: general resources; subgroups and related disorders; nutrition; education and intervention; and research.
Developmental Delay Resources - This is the home page of Developmental Delay Resources, “a nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of children who have developmental delays in sensory motor, language, social, and emotional areas.” It includes links to Internet resources that cover topics such as: ADD, Auditory Integration, Autism & PDD, diet & nutrition, Learning Disabilities, Sensory Integration, and more.
FEAT (Families for Early Autism Treatment) - This is the web site of FEAT (Families for Early Autism Treatment). “FEAT is a non-profit organization of parents and professionals, designed to help families with children who have received the diagnosis of Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder”. The site includes resources, a listserv, and web links to local and regional FEAT chapters.
FEAT-Houston - The web site of FEAT-Houston. “On this site you will be able to find out information about Autism, ABA Treatment and support groups in the Houston and Texas area.”
Online Asperger Syndrome Information and Support - This is the OASIS web site (Online Asperger Syndrome Information and Support). It provides a bookstore with recommended readings, various resources, support groups, information on adult issues, web links and more.
Texas Autism Advocacy website provides information and resources
