Making a Difference Together 5th Annual Special Education Parent Conference and Resource Fair Sponsored by: Family to Family Network and KISD Special Education Department   Date: Saturday, February 27, 2010 Time: 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.   Location: Morton Ranch High School (KISD) 21000 Franz Rd., Katy, Texas 77449

Conference Schedule:

             7:00 a.m.           Presenters and Exhibitors Set-up
             8:00 a.m.           Registration and Exhibits Open   
                     9:00 – 10:15 a.m.     Session 1                                            
                10:15 – 10:45 a.m.     30 min. Break (Exhibits Open)               
                 10:45 – 12:00 noon     Session 2                                            
               12:00 – 1:30 p.m.     Lunch Break - Exhibits will close at 1:30
1:30 – 2:45 p.m.       Session 3                        
     2:45 – 3:00 p.m.       15 min. Break                         
   3:00 – 4:15 p.m.       Session 4                           

This free conference will be open to family members of children from age birth to adult, with any type of learning or developmental disability.  It is our goal to provide parents with information on a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to:  early childhood development, positive behavioral strategies, ARD, disability law, specific disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, ADD / ADHD, learning disabilities, etc…), estate planning and special needs trusts, transition, therapy practices, advocacy, the medical home, inclusion, sibling issues.   For a detailed listing of sessions offered, please refer to the conference brochure below.

There will be four, 75 minute sessions throughout the day. 

Participants must pre-register for the conference.  

ON LINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. 

Walk Ins will be accepted on the day of the conference, but no guarantees can be made on which sessions will be closed or not.   People that have pre-registered will be seated first.

Exhibitor Deadline:   RESOURCE FAIR is FULL - Please call to place your name on a waiting list.
Exhibitor Fees: There will be a fee of $40 per table.  Lunch will be provided.  The resource/exhibitor fair will run from 8 am – 1:30 pm.
